Estimadas familias de nuestra Escuela Canyon Meadows,
During this winter break we wish you love, health, and happiness. We hope you enjoy many precious moments creating memories with your family. In the New Year, at Escuela Canyon Meadows we will continue to ensure our students receive a high-quality bilingual education and feel welcomed, cared for, respected, and safe every day. Our affection and big smile will always welcome our children every morning.
In December our grade 5 students proudly led the food drive campaign to help those in need and to give our school community the opportunity to engage in this act of kindness. Once again, some of our students made colourful and artistic holiday cards for the seniors in The Manor Village at Fish Creek Park. This project certainly brings cheer and colours to the seniors who will receive the student-created cards.
Our Kindergarten to grade 4 students and teachers shared their Learning Winter celebrations. Grades 1 to 4 showcased the theme: “Yo soy Canada” | I am Canada. We are grateful to all family members that were able to join these events. Srta. Cassie, homeroom teachers and students are proud of celebrating their accomplishments with families and of sharing powerful messages of inclusiveness and diversity. One of the songs our students sang states: “Tanta gente, tanta tierra juntas, tantas caras, tantas manos juntas, tantos cuentos, tantos suenos, tantos. Ven conmigo, juntos vamos a ayudar. Canada is big and yet it’s small, filled with life, home to all. Canada is old, and yet it’s young. Canada is us, and we are one!”
We are grateful for our School Council and volunteers who worked long hours to, once again this year, lead and support fund raising events such as the successful Pop Corn and Bake sales. As well, the volunteer support during the Book Fair made a difference! ¡Muchas gracias!
Ready, Set, Registration! - For new students.
Please share with family and friends about our Spanish Bilingual Program and invite them to attend our Open House on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 6:30 pm.
Kindergarten registration will begin Monday, January 12, 2026. The registration pages on the CBE corporate website have been updated for a more accessible and streamlined registration process. CBE has also launched new and revised help pages for MyCBE. The help pages can answer frequently asked questions and help parents/guardians navigate through the platforms more efficiently.
Additionally, the Kindergarten Registration Guide is a valuable resource to help parents/guardians prepare for registration.
