Qué pasa
Tuesday, May 7, 2024 our grade five students performed at the Jubilee Auditorium in Qué pasa, the Spanish Bilingual Program Fine Arts Gala. Our students sang and danced in a wonderfully choreographed musical number complete with instruments, props and costumes. Their hard work certainly paid off as many parents and other audience members commented that the performance was well-done, energetic and powerful. Also, they were impressed by the intricate choreography performed by the over 50 grade five students. Our students themselves were pleased with their performance. They exited the stage wreathed in happy smiles and excited faces.
We congratulate our grade five students, Sra. Cotton, Sra. Olivella, Sra. McKenzie
and Sra. Vargas on a job well-done. We are especially grateful to our parent
volunteers who assisted us at the Jubilee Auditorium for the entire day. We
couldn't have done it without them. ¡Muchas gracias!

Tomorrow, Monday, May 13 is the deadline for the Fiesta contest!
Have your child draw a picture or write a story about what they’ve loved about previous Fiestas or what they’d like to see this year to make it even better! Send email entries to ecmsfiesta@gmail.com or have them bring it to school no later than Monday, May 13, to be entered into a draw for 10 Fiesta Pesos ($10) to be spent at Fiesta June 6 (one winner per grade).

We are excited to announce that we are hosting parenting coach and relationship expert Aly Pain, who will share key steps parents can take now to support their child to build confidence and resilience on the playground, in the classroom, and online to avoid the consequential risks of the teen years.
